Power Steering Noise?

My power steering started to make whining/hiss noise recently when i turn my steering only like 45~90 degree to the left or right. This type of wining noise is very similar to the noise when you turn your steering wheel all the way to one side.

I usually get this noise after 10 ~ 15 minutes of driving. It seems like the warmer the weather the sooner i gonna get the noise from the power steering.When it is very cold outside, this noise is less noticeable and come in later.
The steering also felt heavier after the noise present.

I took my car to my dealer last week,and they finally replaced the power steering pump for me today. However,I still got the same noise after like only 5 minutes of driving

.(It is relatively hot today in Vancouver , 21 degree and very sunny). The tech said that the noise might be normal as MY08 got wider tires
and more caster angle than the previous model.

Anyone got the same noise? What are possible causes of this power steering noise?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mine does not make this noise. It has gotten plenty hotter than that in Southern CA. Once I got in my car and the temp readout said 112 (*F of course and it was probably about 95 in reality). But still. Noise is not normal.

I have also noticed the noise recently and I did not have it when it was colder out. I was going to just listen to see if it got worse/sound different before i brought it in.

nice line of bull**** from the dealer tech. sounds like there may still be air trapped in the steering system.

most likely u just need some grease in the steering boot or something?...

i have the same noise. . .hmmmm. i have not noticed the correlation with the heat though. also, mine only occurs with a turn to the right. . . i got nothing.

mine just started happening and it sucks.... not a good feeling... and talking about air being trapped with causing the noise how do i get rid of that?? and or greasing up the boot? where can i find the boot to do so and what grease? thanks guys just trying to fix this problem before i lose my mind~

This is normal...I talked to the tech at the dealer and said it was fluid passing through the bypass valve. Also I opened a thread and several people report this...normal behavior.

ok so alot of the noise went away after putting more fluid between the two lines but the steering is still kinda of stiff i think there is a air bubble or something im going to bleed the system and refill it and try that any other things you guys can think of?
