end of the Month SHIPMENT? - Page 2

Hey my this manager from my dealer called, and they said they have the Full VIN number... But are going to find out exactly where it is tomorrow morning cause they need to talk to their SOA rep, which is in a meeting in Utah. So what does this mean for me, how much longer do you guys think?

I hope yours goes quicker, but they had my VIN # about a month before I actually got my car

I believe they are shipped to Portland, OR. If anyone knows the company Subaru uses we can look up the names of the boats and check port arrivals for shipments. Anyone on this thread live in Portland?

Sorry. Incorrect information. They actually are shipped into Vancouver WA. Anyone live near?

(Forget that. I suck at geography. Vancouver is across the bridge from Portland.)

when i ordered mine they said 1month i ended up waiting 2months and it pretty much killed me too haha

Yeah this definitely sucks... Im gonna call again tomorrow and keep hustling them to see if theres any new info on anything. So busty, so busty.

What do you think about the position im in where as it was supposed to be the end of the month shipment? since it wasnt custom orderered...

So i called my dealer today and they said theres a scheduled delivery date of May 15th so this THURSDAY! Hopefully... Cant keep your hopes up with these people. So we'll see and ill let you all know the statuss of the Vehicle lol

Not to mix metaphors, but I think you are in the same boat as the rest of us! If there are enough cars to go around you will get one. If the demand is very high they will fill the special orders first.

It would be very interesting to know the frequency of arrival of ships carrying Subies into Vancouver WA. That May 15th date sounds reasonable for an arrival there but we need spies on the ground

Special orders are customized right there on the dock in the big building :
Web browser and Live Maps are incompatible
....... before being loaded on to trains or transporters. Mine will travel by train to Chicago and then transporter to my dealership. So a May 23rd delivery jives well with a May 15th ship docking.

(GPS co-ordinates of dock courtesy of the very helpful STI nut at my dealership!)

Came in this morning... Special order car, ordered 1st week of March, VIN number provided on April 30, Build date allegedly of 4/29. Haven't seen it yet so hopefully its the right car/color/options etc. If it is, that's one fast turnaround once they got their gears rolling after the stop sale..

If all is well, should be driving by the weekend....
