Usually there's a 25awhp difference between stock and stage1 but your's only showed 7awhp?

Is it just me or do these figures seem off?

Yeah please explain this im confused too. Like did you break that car in a special way or something? or the dynos different?

Today Dan calls me on my cell (after I missed his VM on Friday ) and asks me if I want to pick up the exhaust.

I motor on down to Torrance and pick the whole system. While loading it into my SUV, I inquire about the best place to add a wideband bung. "Oh, would you prefer one with the extra bung already welded in place?" So, obviously HM reads and responds to input for this forum. Kudos again!

My son (and part-time STi driver when he can wrestle the keys from me) and I installed the system tonight in a couple of hours. (We have a lift at the house.) The fit was absolutely AMAZING. Those of you who have worked under the STi know that there's some pretty tight routing to keep the exhaust up where it should be. HM did it perfectly. I am very, very impressed and I have installed quite a few exhaust systems - most of them considerably more expensive but none with a better fit.

We promptly loaded in the Stage 2 (ACN 91) from Cobb and took the car for a drive. HM just NAILED the exhaust note. It has a very nice, aggressive boxer growl on acceleration as well as an authoritive idle burble. There is no drone at all. I had the APS TBE on my '05 and the volume reminded me of that. I'm gonna run the Cobb Stage 2 for a few days and then I'll compare to HM's protune which Dan was kind enough to throw into the deal.

In summary. HM = good people; very good quality and fitment; and a home run on volume and sound quality. I can't wait for the drive to work tomorrow. My poor son - he's gonna have an even harder time to get the keys!

Thanks Dan. Very well done.

Here are a couple of pictures.

These two are comparisons of the stock system to the HM.

Here is a picture of the modified heat shield.... an easy mod.

We can offer the ProMap at no charge if the AP and the full turboback exhaust are ordered from us all at the same time. If they are ordered separately we cannot offer the special.

Based on how we run the car on the dyno, we can get different results on the baselines. We found that 4th gear pulls netted the best baselines and consistent 220-230hp, 230-240tq numbers have been seen on a few different cars. On the silver car in the video we also did some 3rd gear pulls and got readings of 207hp, 221tq but chose not to use those since we didn't want to cheat and overstate our actual gains.

Yes, the owner had installed an HKS BOV on that car. We wouldn't necessarily recommend that, but it sounds nice

Thanks.

Ive always wondered why subaru's and evo's dyno in 3rd? Every dyno shop ive been too reccomend making your pull in 1:1 My cummins turbo diesel always get's better numbers in 6th gear .73. I was told the more load the harder you work the engine the better number's you'll get. Best way to do that is to go up a gear and make a pull and see what happens

Our dyno has an electric load control that we set based on the vehicle weight and drag. The real difference on our dyno is pull time. Furthermore, we do all our testing with the hood shut to more accurately simulate real world conditions. That's why we have the ventilated test cell so we can get enough airflow to keep everything cool even with the hood closed.

TBE is stage two. Most people will almost always go stage one 1st. I for one already have an AP. Parrin will offer a stage 2 tune with just their DP purchase.

I'm not saying your tune is not worth the money, but why not use it as a sales tool to move DP's/TBE's and recoup the R&D efforts involved.

It looks like flat black. Diamond black is more shiny.
