Any dyno plots around that show the difference of this system with just the Harman downpipe vs. the entire TBE?

FWIW, I talked to the guys at HM about this. I was told that their DP would not match up to the stock CB perfectly since it was 3". That there may be some leaks. Kinda sucks doing it by the piece-by-piece method, but at least they were honest.

How about HM CBE? Is it going to fit stock DP ?

Thanks, that does help.

I am trying to justify the additional purchase of the cat-back over just a DP. If there is a real improvement on just a Stage 2 setup on the 08 by adding the catback then I'll probably look into purchsing the full setup. I am not interested in it for sound or noise or bling at all. I want to know if there is documented gains to be had on a stage 2 by adding the catback on the 08. If it's just 2-5 hp I can't justify the additional 1k. If it's 10, thats a different story.

Spork, there has been quite a large amount gained, dyno proven by tuners..but to utilize it you need to get a protune or custom flash via ecutek software

I see that the bung for the stock rear O2 sensor is pre cat. Any CELs with this? I'm planning to get an 08 STi in the semi-near future and eventually if I mod it I will need it to comply w/ STU auto-x rules which now don't allow for any type of CEL defeat (mechanical, electrical, turning off the CEL in a tune, etc.)

REGARDING FITMENT OF DOWNPIPE/CATBACK TO OEM:

Our downpipe and catback use a 3" flat flange. The OEM pieces use a 2.5" donut gasket.

In order to keep flow as high as possible, we elected to use the 3" flanges.

If you try and connect a Harman DP to a stock catback, they will bolt together, but the seal is less than optimal due to the thin donut style flange on the stock system. This can result in a small exhaust leak, but won't effect performance.

However, our catback seals nicely to an OEM (or OEM style like Cobb) downpipe. You can use a flat gasket or the donut (the donut fits inside our flange). We recommend using a 3" all the way through design where possible.

Man, that sounds nice. Maybe a bit too loud for my needs (DD, family hauler) but very nice.

I'd be surprised if you found this exhaust too loud for DD. If you listen to the radio at all, you will probably not even be able to tell a difference over stock. I'd consider it a very healthy, conservative sound
