I ran catted and catless on my 06 STi, and even thought they both made about the same peak power on a dyno (catless was only a few hp more), the catless version spooled up much faster than the catted dp. I read a lot about people over boosting on the 08 running catless with an OTS, but people said the same about the 06 and mine didn't overboost while catless with an OTS. I would say run catless and watch your boost levels. To each his own.

For those looking for a max power option, p&l offers the modded 4" turboXS dp,
I'm actually going into turboXS personally next week to just have them do a custom mid-pipe to the old model 4" downpipe
