Default Fuel door getting stuck and not opening? Easy fix inside.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but my buddy with an s2000 showed this to me, we tried it and it fixed the issue that I was having with my fuel door not opening when I pull on the fuel door latch. See the picture below, but there is a small aluminum piece that adds tension when you close the fuel door. Slightly pull/push back on the small aluminum lid to relieve the tension, thus making the fuel door latch insside the car work with a single attempt.
