Those spots are common (in the detailer world), and to remove them you need a mild acid. There is also acid fallout that can happen on paint, it gives cars tiny water droplet sized (acid rain..) mirrors in the paint. Acid is also used to remove them as well.

Lucky, are there any over-the-counter mild acids you can buy? I know most of the strong wheel cleaners have some type of acid ingredient but if there is one better than the other I might try that.

Wasn't this issue seen on the Legacy wheels (maybe spec.b only), or was that a different problem?

Ardex

This is just from one detailing website, Ive never ordered from them but they list brake dust deposits, which is what you are experiencing. Just do some searches for detailing suppliers in google. Over the counter products are much much weaker than professional supplies are, so that is why you may not have good luck with them.

I don't think you're understanding the problem. His spots are under the clearcoat. It's not brake dust, and he stated it's not brake dust several times.

Sorry but no.
ive have come across what he is dealing with many times. It takes an acid to remove them. Auto Magic is the supplier we use for our items.
