the seats arent bad, not as bad as i thought when i first saw them. i like the color and materials as well. go to a dealer and check them out

I love these seats in the 08.

I had an 06 ion redline, came with recaro seats, They wrapped me up good but after like an hour of driving they became very uncomforable, like highway driving. These seats don't wrap me up as well but i don't move around in these when taking corners and they are far more comfy than my ion redline seats even though that car was fun to drive, im glad i upgraded.

I like the seats well enough. After driving hard at the track I was pleasantly surprised. I am looking into a harness system though. Schroth racing harness is apparently developing a new non-invasive system.

I like the seats, they fit me well and are still rather comfortable after 3+ hours on the road. My first track day is in a few weeks and then I'll have a better idea.

Yeah for some reason i feel the OP is on something cause come on... Do the colors of the older model seats enhance your experience or what? LMAO, and maybe if you have felt the seats of the 08 and didnt like them is because you dont weight that much and their too big for you and you need recaro seats or whatever to fit you. So i suggest you may need to gain some weight, and hit the gym.

I agree. This is my second sti, the new 08 seats are way better.....especially looks wise..........I think people need to stop *****ing though.....I think the stock seats really aren't that bad but people say they suck for long trips.........well too bad.....plus I use to drive 100 miles a day in mine and I was happy, you should try the seats in my 97l and have the wire support poking at you all the time....

I sat in one briefly at the dealer. I wasnt impressed. It felt very flat and even less side bolstering than my 06 stock seats. They may be better for the drive though, I couldnt say as I never actually got to drive the 08.

Just got back from a 7-hour drive and the seats agree with my butt and back in that context. supportive and comfortable. Haven't tracked it yet. I am bigger than Flanders but smaller than Homer.

Just drove my wife's 330Xi last night and I have to say I prefer the Sti. The BMW seats are adjustable in about 400 directions and made of very high quality leather, but there is a lot to be said for simplicity and firm support. I have owned a lot of cars and the seats/driving position of the '08 STi is my favorite.

I took a trip up to Jersey this past weekend (~4hrs each way) and I have nothing to complain about the seats are absolutely amazing.

Coming from an 05 STI, I will say that I liked the lower (thigh) bolsters from the 05 but I believe Subaru made this change because of that whole "refined" look and feel that they were going for with the 08 STIs... Personally, I sat in an 08 STI when I had my 05 in for service and fell in love with the seats. The Recaros in the EvoX are absolute ****: horrible fabric, entirely too uncomfortable.

If you don't like the seats, do like others said and pick up a recaro/bride/etc or two. You'll probably want the weight reduction and harness support anyways if you're going to track the car.

I'm 6 ' 3" 220 lbs. Sat in a new 06 Sti in dealer showroom and just did not fit me at all.

Did the same thing last Jan in an 08 Sti and was supremely comfortable. Sat in the car over 15 mins fiddling with everthing. My body gave me permission to sign the sales contract. In the first week of onwership took a trip from Montreal to Toronto and back and the seats were great.

My only complaint is not with the seats. They're great but that the 08 has the handbrake on the drivers side and it digs into my leg. Wish it was on the passengers side like before.

To the OP. Change the seats or change the car (evo?) I really have no idea what you are complaining about.

To many,shall we say,well proportioned asses in America,that's why we get them seats.
If you are bones like me the STI seats suck.
They are actually dangerous at the track having to brace yourself of the door and center console isn't ideal at 9/10ths.
