I find it hard to believe they would offer you that much for an 06 Sti how many miles? I currently have less than 20,xxx miles on an 05 and dealer trade so far will only net me 20K.

my 05 had 36xxx and i just traded it in and got 21,500.

i highly doubt they'd give him 28k though also..and if they did, why would anyone turn that down.

if anything he could turn around resell the sti and buy another 06 for alot less than 28k and add tons of mods with the rest of the money.

I had my '05 for three years. Loved it. The '08 is a better car no doubt. It handles better, rides better and has a lot more potential and personally I like the look better. But like everyone is saying, do what you want to do not what we want.

Just keep it and wait for the next model. If you are even questioning the purchase then don't do it. But $28,000 for a trade in you should sell it to them and buy a newer 07 for $20,000 and use the rest to buy mods...or pay bills.

I'm keeping my 06 till the motor goes............then stick in a new shortblock. As long as the body and frame hold out, i'll still keep the subie.
