Default Sport Grille looks better in person

I recently installed the sport grille. I wasn't sure if it was going to make much of a difference, but once I saw it on the car I was very glad I got rid of that cheesy silver and black plastic thing.

I had the whole grille covered with Bekaert film (clear bra) so it's immune to basic rock chips. Hans at Professional Motorsports in Mesa, AZ did all the clear film and window tint - this guy does great work.

I'm waiting for the same thing. I was looking at this one and wondering if a little dremel work and some patience would turn out good? I did it on my 05 STi.

The stock one doesn't look bad if you paint it body colored... imo

The stocker isn't as Honda Accord-esque when it is painted to match the body. Still looks a bit Transformer-ish but I like transformers! ;D

Is there a different sport grille for the STI than the other Imprezas? My dealer said there was only one part number for the entire line and the STI badge must be removed from the stock grille and put on the sport grille. I take delivery of my STI tomorrow so I cant answer my own question. And yes, the front end looks much cleaner without that "Civic" silver bar across the grille.

I would like it more if the star badge was a little bigger.

Yeah that stupid trim across the front is IMHO the ugliest part of the car. I painted it until I can swing some money for the JDM. 10x better than the original but yours is still smoother looking.

Original...sorry about the glare

Painted

You guys suck. I didn't realize how ugly the stock grill was until I saw how awesome that new one is.

Thanks a lot.
