Chargespeed already has. It's carbon fiber minus the logo. Check it out -> Bulletproof Automotive

Definitely want the sport grill without the logo - also need to fix the fog light trim with some paint.

I'd buy the sport grill and dremel the original logo off if I had to to make it look clean before spending $655 for a Chargespeed grill.

True. They also have one from Ings+1, but it's $332.50. However, I like the intake duct.

What was the verdict on the part number/badge issue? When I ordered mine, I was under the impression (i.e. distinct explanation from dealer for whatever that's worth) that they were separate grills and would come from the factory with the STI badge on the sport version.

But post your findings. And a pic.

Is the STI grille pretty easy to swap out?

SlackerNJ...I'm likin' the painted grille as much, if not more, than the sport grille...thanks for showing the light! I'm paintin' mine.

Any idea if it is functional? Meaning does it come with a kit to remove the stock inlet and replace it with a more functional snorkel to the airbox?
Oh yea, sorry to hi-jack.

They still say one part number (although the price they gave me was lower than what i saw on the subbie site for the sti grille). i got the car yesterday but have been too busy putting miles on it to pop the hood. i'll look in to it soon, but they are selling me the impreza grille for $240 so it may be worth it not to have the sti badge on the front. a little cleaner look on the front end...?

I was looking at the SPT/STI catalog the other day and I am pretty sure the STI sport grill was listed separate from the WRX/non-STi

Has anyone tried cutting away all the crap on the stock grill and putting their own mesh in there? I will have to look today to see if that is even reasonable...

$655 is retarded for a grill but that's what I want. About half that price is what I willing to pay at the most.

Yeah most def expensive... Id pay the maximum half of that. I think its a better deal to just paint it yourself. So you get some of a new gril for a paint can price lol
