Default What is this 0% Finance?!?!?!?

On the subaru website there is an add or something saying that there will be 0 percent finance for any subaru baught in the stock of the specific dealership until April 30th? Why are they doing this? Is it because they know all those cars may have problems with them? or whats the deal? And maybe waiting for the next shipment cause those will all be fixed.. im lost.

There was a 0% financing for 24mo for qualified buyers around my way... You have to have amazing credit or something and then take a loan for 2 years instead of 5 years (60mo avg, I guess).

So basically, your monthly payment will be higher, but in return, you don't pay interest.

That's probably the same deal at your local dealership. It's incentive for people with money and good credit to pick up deals on cars they might already be buying, probably to make way for the next year's models.

Yeah what midnit said. I'm doing 24 months and 0% financing. I think as long as your credit score is in the 700s you're ok.

Hell even if your monthly is high, who cares it's 0%. Just make sure you can pay it off every month w/o going on the ramen diet.

So should i buy the STI before april 30th? or do you think they may extend it if they dont sell all the cars they planned on selling?

Yeah, i tried to get the 0% deal, thats like getting free money! Unfortunately the bank counter offered me 9.5%
Sucks not to have any credit...
I took their offer, even though its highway robbery. Just a 1 year loan though, I have to suck it up to establish credit here

I had the option of 0% for 2 years or 4.25% for 72 months...

With the way the economy is going I went with the 72 months, currently I am paying about twice my monthly payment putting the rest against principle to pay it off in a couple years. But at least I know if I am ever in a pinch I can just make a regular payment.

Most car companies almost ALWAYS have a 0% for 2 years, so to the thread starter it has nothing to do with the quality of the car...

Actually, a 4.something% loan is like getting free money, 0% costs more in the long run . Unless ...

... your credit is insufficient to get a 4.something% loan . 0% is better than 9.5%, but 5% is better than 0% .

This has nothing to do with the stop sale. It's part of a national Subaru monthly promo that they did back in March (Tent promo) and are continuing through April (even cheaper for them now with the fed rate cuts). Probably will be a similar one in May as well...
