Default Any Stage 2 performance numbers?

Has anyone actually taken a Stage 2 08 Sti to the track or 1/4 strip? I am interested in hearing the 1/4 trap speed after this mod...Everyone attests that it feels faster and smoother, but is it?

Damn, lot of hostility!

Here's TIC's 08 w/ DP + Tune:
2008 STI - 283whp/354wtq

Here's AMR's:
2008 STi - 300whp / 360wtq

Here's sponaugle's:
http://www.iwsti.com/forums/power-br...401-lb-ft.html

Granted I think all of these are custom tunes... You can expect close to these #s with stage 2 upgrades.

For future reference, you can go to the Power Bragging section and type in 2008 in the search field, or bookmark this link:

Those AMR numbers are about right...my guess after much research is a full stage 2 wih meth will yield you in the low 12's/hi-11's pretty easily. I let you know in May! !

Perhaps PM the people that have posted their dyno numbers and see if they've gone to the track yet? Or maybe check their journal's and see if they've posted slips from the track.

Let's try to keep the hostility to a minimum. With that said, Kaneda, please do a search instead of just endlessly starting new threads with information that is readily available on this forum. This is expected of everyone.

Just take a look at some of the links midnit has kindly posted for you.

...and for the rest of you, play nice. I'm leaving this thread open for now, but if it gets out of hand, I'll close it.

Edit:

Just for reference, AMR has hit low 12s @ 115 at stage 2 levels with race gas...and that was with a 2.0 60'...

Not really...Look at that 60ft.

That car with a few more passes, a good launch, and a good driver should in the 11's.

I'm sorry Digitalfiend...Who is this guy?

I'm still new,and I always try a search,and I've posted some stupid questions.
But I always try to be courteous, and grateful for every reply.

Sorry, I'm old,and I guess I don't understand.

No doubt. A stage 2 with high octane gas (or meth/water injection etc.) should be in the high 11's with a good driver (< 2.0' etc.) easily.

I've never seen an older model stage 1 car trap 108mph. I've also never seen a stage 2 STI on just race gas trap 115mph. The older STIs require quite a few more mods or more aggressive tuning. That's not to say it can't be done but the newer cars are definitely better for tuning.

O.K. Guy's,the Stage 2 numbers are starting to confuse the piss out of me!

Check me if I'm wrong...Stage 1,is map flash from an AP, Right? or are their other mod's that you can do and still be in stage 1 ??

The minimal Stage 2 is a catted or uncatted down pipe /w a stage 2 map flash...right ? how many mod's can be done, and still be considered stage 2?

So,with all the different levels of stage 2...wouldn't the performance #'s be all over the place?

Or when you get to a specific 60ft. time or 1/4 mile time are you considered stage 3??? What the F do I know...

The stages vary between cars I'm sure.

With ours, a Stage1 could be just a reflash, or a reflash w/ an intake.

Stage2 is at least a downpipe and a reflash/pro-tune. Could also be a downpipe+catback exhaust or a full turboback setup.... same thing, just both parts probably sold together and designed to compliment each other, like a full 3" downpipe mated w/ a full 3" catback. Instead of a downpipe that you buy now that's 3" tapering to a 2.5" to meet the stock catback, but then you buy a 2.5" catback later on to replace it.

That's also why the numbers I quoted above, vary so much.
