Hey TurboSti, I wonder if you could answer a question to try to help me avoid your pain. I just booked my car in for plastic clear bra on Wednesday. It's about twice as much money to do the entire hood and the one I was going to go with covers just up behind the intake (about half the hood). I'm also getting the rear fenders done.

Are most of your chips near the front of the hood, or are you seeing them all over the entire hood?

Yea all of my chips on the nose of my car are on the front part. You shouldn't need to do the whole hood in the clear bra. I'm only going to get half the hood done myself and infront and behind the rear tires.

Well its been a while waiting for an answer from SOA , So I went down to talk to the GM of the dealership and complain about how long its taking.

He took one look at my car and said " Don't worry thats unacceptable, I will take car of this. We will paint the nose of your car and rear fenders and Install a 3M / Venture shield ". He then went on to say that SOA will not cover the repainting of the nose of the car but his dealership will.

He also said "what ever it takes to make you happy again". I was floored, most dealership don't really care how you feel and shrug their shoulders and say sorry nothing we can do its SOA.

I mean I have bought 4 new Subaru's in 3 1/2 year's 05 sti 06 tribeca 08 sti and an 09 Forester. So I'm glad they saw me as a good customer.

So now I have to wait again for SOA to approve the painting for the rear fenders (They took and sent more Pictures) and then make an appointment for all the work to be done.

On a side note The parts guys at this dealership is way cool gave me great prices on parts for my 08 sti and 09 forester.

I will give the name of the dealership once this is all finished and my car is 100% again.
