how many of you guys have had people crowd around your car in some parking lot upon returning to your car? i swear this car gets too much attention...

I was eating outside at an In-n-Out Saturday when a bugeye wagon pulled up and the passengers all noticed my car and went across the parking lot to check it out.

It's nice having a car that only gets attention from those who know what it is.

It seems I get a lot of thumbs up from fellow Subaru owners on the street...saw a guy driving a white Evo X and he gave me a

look...

most of the attention I get comes from the main STI demographic. they usually have the "deer in headlights" look on their face as they drive by.

mine has been the only 08 people have seen in person as most of the meets i go to... people def like to check it out and sit in the kick ass seats.....
I also had a 60+? year old women in a Legacy GT stop me in a parking lot yesterday and tell me she wanted to trade her car in for one like mine, "but blue".....

I had the first one in town, had tons of people break their necks to catch a glimpse. But really its fun to get the attention

Last night a car went by my house and slowed way the F down, stopped and stared into my garage... I was about to breakout the baseball bat... thought he was casing my house... I was in the front yard trimming trees and bushes... so I had a big pair of sheers. This is what I would called unwanted attention. The STI is in my garage. You don't look into other people's garage like that...

I can see a lot of people check out the STI while it is parked at work. I always park where I can see it from behind the bar.

Once when I pulled into the spot, a guy in a 944 stopped me to ask if it was fast. I was like, "no, your car is probably faster. It is a wagon."

Another guy stopped me while I was filling my tank with 93. He goes, "how is it?" I said it sucked. I regret saying that because that was before I found the S# mode...

I'm in taco hell downing 2 bean burritos with green sauce...in 10 min. there are 2 hondas,one cobalt,some kind of little dodge,07 STI,and a WRX...I'm surrounded,all young guy's.they asked if I'd pop the bonnet.I hung out with the high schooler's for about 1hr. chattin it up...nice kid's.

Then I told them I was old and had to go to bed.

Haven't been that cool for that long for some time.

ummm.... my blue one gets more sluts than your white one. some dude in a Evo Mr tried to race me yesterday on the Expressway. no way am i gonna go for that... too many troopers on the lookout.

I have the only '08 in anchorage (until may) and most people have a "what the F!#K was that" look. A couple weeks ago a guy at work told me it was "Jap crap" then yesterday he said "you know, it is kinda cool lookin'" love it.

My friends seem to think my car is a mazda, and try to push my buttons by calling it that. I just tell them its the fastest mazda they'll every see.

the day i got my car i had an older gentelman (80ish) tell me that my car looked like it wanted to eat him. then the other day i was at pier1 with the wife buying new dishes and a couple in an 07 outback sport park next to my car and upon realizing what it was they examined it for a good 5 minutes. but then just yesterday i had two ricers in civic hatchbacks almost jump out of their moving cars when they saw me.

Guy says, 'Cool car'.
I said, 'thanks'.
Guy says, 'Does it get good mileage?'.
I said, 'no, but it's quick'.
Guy says, ' I thought Scion's got good mileage'

I wanted to get the new STi because of the sleeper looks, but the change was so drastic that it attracts more attention? meh, it'll blow away after a year or so.
