My black one is the stealthiest sports car I have ever owned. I have driven past NUMEROUS STi drivers in the Denver / Boulder area and most don't even notice me. Hehehehee. You guys should be embarased.

I have gotten a few thumbs up, and yes I did come out of the supermarket once to a small crowd.

seems that it's mostly subie folk who notice around here, just got back from a back road BC tour and the majority of the recognition was from sti & wrx drivers

With the DGM, bike racks, and mud flaps, my ride is so under the radar, other STI drivers often drive right by. I have the stock CB with a Stage 2 which only adds to the stealthiness, although it would be nice to have some sense of speed without having to look at the speedo so see I'm doubling the speed limit. I've had a couple of thumbs up from STI/Evo drivers but for the most part, not too many questions about the car...which is exactly what I wanted when I went with the DGM instead of the WRB.

Hey BuzSTid, are you seeing any paint issues with all the gravel here in Calgary?

so far no issues for me on the sides (6500kms)... although i have caught two chips right in the leading edge of the hood, right before the plastic chip guard starts. problem with working in the boonies with the gravel trucks. my rally armor mud flaps were installed at 4000 kms.
part of the reason that i am not seeing any chipping may be due to the fact that i am running winter rims & tires still (17-40 225 hakapallitas with 45 offset) they seem to be tucked in a little more than the stock wheels

the whisker's (western subaru club) is organizing a group buy for the flaps WesternSubaruClub.com - View topic - Rally Armor Mud Flaps & Hella Supertones

how many of you guys have had people crowd around your car in some parking lot upon returning to your car? i swear this car gets too much attention...
I choosed the dark gray color to be less obvious on road and the car still gets a good deal of a attention. I was on the freeway yesterday afternoon enroute to San Diego and noticed some people staring at the car. At one point during the drive, some dude in a riced out honda civic pulled up next to me and honked once to get my attention, gave me a huge grinning smile and a thumbs up before speeding away. Shortly afterwards while in some traffic, a lowered white Dodge Neon SRT pulled up really close behind me; and immediately, I had a good feeling what the guy had in mind by the look on the dude's face through my rear view mirror. As soon as traffic began clear up and a small clear stretch of the freeway opened up to my right, the car made a sudden lane change with the sound of the exhaust screaming loudly as the driver proceeded to "bone-out" at wide-open-throttle. About few seconds or so later, I saw huge dust cloud kicking-up very far ahead and thought maybe a car crash just happened, but then saw the flashing red and blue lights of a highway patrol car as it was picking up speed off to the side of the freeway to catch-up to someone. I had a good idea who it was, and sure enough, I saw the same white Neon starting to slowly pull over with the patrol car behind it. I couldn't keep myself from laughing at this point, because it was just too funny. The freeway was prettly straight all the way and the guy should have been able to see far enough that there was a cop parked on the side of the freeway and slow down. Maybe he was just too busy thinking how he just blew right by an STi or maybe too busy looking through his rear view mirror to see if an STi was on his tail. I didn't feel bad at all for the guy, and almost flashed my hazards on just to piss-off the guy for being so dumb. He must have been going over 100mph when he got nabbed my the "Man" because I was cruising at 80mph with the flow of traffic when the guy took-off. I wonder what kind of lame excuse he gave when the cop walked up to his window.

My DGM doesn't get noticed often, at least not like my other car. To most people it's just another hatchback, but people who know what it is tend to show a lot of interest.

I like the stealth factor because I can have a lot of fun driving it without attracting much attention.

i have the only one ive seen where i live, but they said there is 2 they have sold local. havent had any crouds yet, havet left the car alone it the public long enough for me not to keep an eye on it. but when i do get attention, i like it because its from people who fear it, evos its great to see the exp. on there face, lol, or people who appriciate it. subi owners. its great to only get attention from people who know what there looking at, dont get those stupid i have an exhaust honda civic hb trying to race cause there car makes noise and they cut the springs they think there car will run 11's. and ive driven passed countless cops, and gotta say, didnt see one of them look over at me with the "look" that i got in my other car, but well see if they still think that after the mods start to pill-on

Until Fast and Furious comes out! I get a bunch of thumbs up from other Subie guys and even a bunch of Porsche guys. Pretty fun. Very under the radar. The Aspen White is not for me, but looks damn good with the gold rims!

I think driving around with the top down with a roll cage would get anyones attention .

Nice DSM
