Default Re: 2008 STI vs. 2008 EVO GSR

I may have mentioned it before, but part of the reason I did not buy an EVO X were the mitsu sales people. HOLY crap they were complete idiots...the guy told me he didn't even know what a redline was when I asked him what the redline was on the X. It would not shock me if all the salespeople were just bums wearing some loaner clothing for the day. Maybe this would explain why there are SO many EVOs still on their lot.

I probably would have bought an STi anyway, but I was kinda on the fence. If the salesman were any good, I would've bought a new/used Evo 9 in a heartbeat.

Good point. Teh salesguys at most dealers are ediot clowns..One guy however at Allison Mits' in RENO is all about them. He organizes meets and races. He knows more than I'll ever know about EVOs...ever. Best salesman I've ever talked to hands down. I regret not buying the car there. They just could not match the deal in LA.

Sales guys in LA were much more knowledgeable than most dealers too but as I recall I've talked to many Subie sales guys that know virtually nothing about the car. Idiots. OK so who does sell cars? Usually it's some guy who can't get any other job...down on his luck. So many I've talked to are divorced with financial problems. Sales people in general are just not that good. I will always know more than any sales person 'cause of the forums and experience
