Problem with my 2008 wrx sti transmission... - Page 5

I was on the roughest back road I've ever been on in my life and driving at speed, lots of on-off throttle in 2nd gear and 2-3 and 3-2 shifts, no issues. It's very weird that some people are experiencing problems.

finally got it to 100miles. All the tranny noise is there, but no popping out of gears. I do notice, that on 1st and 2nd especially, the tranny/engine is rather loud between 2-3K.

How is this on your guy's cars?

Yeah my makes a crazy meshing sound when engine braking in 1-3rd. I know my '05 did the same but I don't recall it being as loud.

Still, it seems perfectly normal.

yep mine is pretty loud like that too. this is my first suby but i think its normal, im not worried about it
