Default Replacing stock shift knob with MOMO shift knob

Quick question... I just recently purchased an 08 sti and I'm not feeling the stock shift knob too much. I'm interested in getting the new momo GTR2 shift knob.. Few questions about this if anyone knows. Is it just unscrew and screw the new one on? I've read alot about weighted shift knobs being better than stock shift knobs.. Is the momo gtr2 weighted and is the stock one weighted? Would the GTR2 perform better than the stock one? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes it just screws off... I have a prodrive knob that was on my 05sti and tried it on my 08sti. The stock knob was heavier. As for the momo GTR2 knob.... I dont know.

ppl say heavier shift knobs make hard shifts feel better... its true but not THAT much difference imho.

I installed the knob from 04-07; looks and feels great; it's slightly lighter, but has more tactile grip (has little bumps/rivets or whatever you wanna call it), plus has a red/sti pink stitching up the middle. Also, the top of it where it says the 1-6/R actually has a background that is black, versus the 08 which is more of a gunmetal. It fits perfectly.
