Clearly though, pieces of foam blocking airflow to the engine do not improve performance...I should've looked a bit closer at the picture Guess I better go take mine out now that I know it is just a radiator...darn, I really wanted my car to be GT-spec Guess I better take the big flame vinyls off the side too.

Seriously though, do you think those are anywhere near the same type of suspension? There is a huge different between a potential double wishbone setup and a macstrut setup of the 08. Sure, they may be able to dial in -5* of camber to be able to make up for the destroyed suspension geometry to maintain grip in the front, but what do you think that does to straight line stability, braking stability/performance and bump travel. They are all severely negatively affected by the way they have the car setup. I love how people think that a small shop who goes against the norms of conventional wisdom is immediately wrong in all assumptions. But looking back throughout history, it has always been the small "crazies" who have come out against the norm with new ideas that have been the progressive force in breakthrough technology. Tony

The GTR might not since I don't know. But the Cyberspeed/Runduce cars run oem type suspension+mounting all the way. lol. And I was just listing the JDM cars so it would hit fastest. Not saying i'm a JDM "fanboi" either but uh these companies have gotten results for the past 50 years. Dude I mean you can tell even looking at those cars, they are probably running like -3.5 up front. The cyberspeed evo and the zerosports cars came to america for like a 1 year visa and completely annhialated all comers, including American setup cars with "proper" suspension travel(The Signal GTR did too by the way, which also still retains oem strut). I know where your Ideas are coming from, it's not like you're in the minority. Don't try to act like a genius. People have been preaching "proper suspension travel," "not affecting the angle of roll center," and yadda yadda before both of us were born. The fact is, racing in this form is about the result. ![]() This is the fastest STi for time Attack the US has built. Are you gonna go preach to PDX, Crawford, and Harman Motive too? If you're talking about track-only cars, and not for DD..people have proven that wrong too..I'll give one more example. AJ Racing from Canada..i've SEEN these guys drive back and forth from shows and track days, including this car which keeps breaking records at Buttonwillow and wins Unlimited RWD like everytime it enters. CZ4A's comment may have been out of line, maybe not. If HKS or Voltex/Runduce was a vendor on here, would there be backlash to turninconcepts' comments? He pretty much said the same thing cz4a did to him, called them all nubs. With that said, I'm a man too. Build a car with Rally ride height that annhialates these guys and I will definetely admit I'm wrong. but until then give credit where credit is due, thats all i can say. Here I found a better picture for you to look it. It might give you some idea of what an 08 STI sedan might look like although the rear widebody will look more integrated from Subaru if they release and STI sedan: |
