Default Should I debadge the rear

I was this of removing the the Subaru Badge and the Impreza Badge from the rear. I would move the STI Down and to the left little. what do you think?

I vote to remove the STi as well and badge it as a base impreza! Then maybe the rice goblins will leave you alone.

I removed them all. I have the emblems from my 04 and think the font is the same so I might just let my five year old spell what ever she wants on the back just to throw people off. I think a mazda emblem would be interesting to do for a while too.

So how do you guys de-badge without jacking up the paint and what do you use to
put emblems back on if your moving them around?

Thanks

If its cold out, you can pour warm water over the emblems to loosen them, then take dental floss or fishing line and work behind the emblem to remove them. After that, you can pull any sticky stuff loose with your fingernails.

I just removed the Subaru emblem tonight. Now I'm wondering whether I should leave the Impreza or remove that too.

i used my gf's hair-dryer and goof-off to get mines out. once the emblems are off, you can work the adhesive off with your fingers

i would be careful with this, peeling off straight like that can lead to clear coat coming off with the sticky goo/emblem.

Heat it up with a blow/hair dryer (just the emblem area)
Pull out dental floss. See-saw back and forth with the dental floss until the emblem comes off, done!

If you got a new 08, i can attest that all you need to remove is a bit of floss or fishing line to get the removal started safely, then peel off by hand, rub any remaining adhesive off the paint with your thumb. Done! took me <10min on day1.
Factory fresh, the adhesive is really weak, but if you let it bake on the trunk for 6months, i'd guess it gets a lot harder.
