Default Proof of invoice

Is there anyway I can prove to my dealer that people on the forum are getting their cars at invoice? He doesn't believe me lol.

If a dealer was to call me a liar, which is what's happening to you, the only thing I'd prove to him was that he just lost a customer ....LOL.

Yeah, **** that salesperson. Tell him to prove that people aren't getting them at invoice. He's the one working to sell you the car, if he is making you prove stuff then suddenly you are working to get a car, and he'll bone you dry when he realizes that.

Just walk.
Look some dealers will sell you one at invoice some will not, no matter what you prove. I have been to a number of dealers, the ones who won't sell at invoice tell me that they only get so many STI (for smaller dealers its around 6) so they will wait for a better buyer. That maybe BS but it sounds reasonable. I just thank them for the test drive and move on the the next one. You WILL find one at invoice if your willing to do some leg work and travle a bit.

Good luck!

The first mistake you made is WALKING into the dealer. Why because salesmen dont know **** on what deals are going on and how low they can go.

You need to email the internet sales manager and go from there.

When I was buying my Lexus IS I went over to a dealership and I told him I wanted invoice. He basically laughed at me because that price is unheard of.

So I went home and emailed Longo Lexus and after some negociation (through email) I got it down to $1000 UNDER invoice.

So DO NOT walk into the dealer expecting the greatest price. EMAIL instead!

I dont think thats official and would work. I can even make a better document then that and post it up on here.

Better if you post your contract on here (long yellow paper). Excluding your personal info.

I wouldn't pay a premium just because it's what you want. With patience and aftermarket parts/OEM parts you can make it whatever you want. Show the sheet to him, if he says it's fake, ask him why he thinks you're a liar - tell him you called (local competing dealership) and they believed you.

Oh, no don't worry - I'm not. I'm not paying a dime over invoice. I could settle with another color, I like them all . I would just prefer the one I customized to my likings. I am going to be playing with a few dealers to get what I want. How awesome would that be if I got another dealer to make a trade for it and then I drove up in it and went hey remember that dealer you guys sent this off to?

Did that with my '02 WRX, first dealer wouldn't budge off sticker (this was just after they first came out,) second dealer gave me a deal and then went and traded the first dealer for that car.
