Centaur or Calgary Subaru? WRB FTW!

Nothing will ever solve the bounce completely as long as the stock seats are in place, including the RB320 setup -- it's still plenty stiff enough to make you bounce in the seat. You can tell how much of it is the seats by making note of your position to the dash. If you bounce up and down at all relative to the dash, you've got seat problems.

Between the Recaro Sports and RB320 struts, my car rides as well as any STI ever will . Subaru really ought to consider offering a Bilstein option in the U.S., it would suit our roads much better than the KYBs. And the Recaro option, of course, though I prefer the aftermarket springless version myself. This is the way the STI should have come from the factory.

Subaru Calgary was the only dealer in Calgary to have one in stock, and I wasn't getting a good feeling from other dealers (around the province) about availability. Very happy with sales and service so far.

We got our 2006 Outback XT from Centaur, and were very happy with all service we've received.

Not sure who I'm going to deal with for servicing the STi - Centaur is more convenient.

Hey Smiley, I was there on Saturday morning watching the blue and gold get ready to go. I sat in it Friday at lunch and started it up. The sales guy let me do it so I could check out how the nav works. It seemed like the guy picking up the car was a russian guy. Had a strong russian accent. Was that you?

I'm close to having them find me a DGM, but I almost bought that black one in the showroom.

Stedenko.

Stedenko,

That '08 blue and gold STi ismine, but I don't have a strong Russian accent. I'm run-of-the-mill Anglo-Canadian.

The black one in the showroom looks amazing - tough choice between it and the blue. Good luck on getting your DGM.

I was a bit bummed when I got up Saturday morning to find snow on the ground. Fortunately, the roads were fine and had dried up by the time we left the dealer. I would not have been too comfortable driving in snow/ice with those summer performance tires.

Smiley,

I bet he misunderstood me. He was hanging around your car and I knew it was going out, so I asked if it was his. He looked confused and mumbled something about a client. He probably works at the dealership.

I was thinking about the snow as well because my plan was to leave with the black one that day. The wheels are a deal breaker for my wife. She can't handle the gold wheels. The sales guy said I could have them painted through some company they use but I'll probably hold out.

Anyway, congrats. That's pretty cool that I sat in your car for a couple of minutes. Small world.
