Sitting in a parking lot waiting for somebody or just getting in the car and playing with your stereo or talkin to friends out the window. Believe me...that sh*t gets annoying. My G37 doesn't beep one time and i LOVE it

Another annoying situation is when you have a passenger in the car and you leave them in the car while its running to run into the store, all the while the car is chiming away. The seatbelt disable fix is a god send. I do sales and I am always in my car with it running while I am doing work and that chiming will drive any honest man crazy!

3. The next time you start the engine, you'll get the initial seatbelt chime, but it won't give you the continual warnings afterwards. You should notice right away that after the initial seatbelt chime, the seatbelt light will turn off and no longer flash.
is this a standard in the industry or is it typical to suby??
my dad`s audi`s passenger seat is a PITA , you cant leave a pair of gloves on the seat nor a cell phone

If you're driving around without your seatbelt on, it does chime again after you stop and continue to accelerate. It might be a coincidence I guess, but it just seems like everytime I stop and continue to accelerate it goes off after I get to about 5-10mph (when it notices I'm rolling again, basically).

And no, I don't drive around without my seatbelt, I just decided to test this tonight in a parking lot.

For those looking to get rid of the chime, try the buckle/unbuckle thing or unplug the wire harness under the seat. I've had it this way for almost 2 years and no problems

For those who say wear a seatbelt, I agree. I am against the government making tons of laws that should be our decision but this is definitely one im glad they've made. I've seen some crap happen during that "3 block drive to 7-11"...wear it.

for those who say this is a 2008 discussion, this is nothing new. at least this OP had the knowledge to say he wears it except on those small times when he's waiting or when he makes short trips.

I don't know if I am going crazy or not, but about two seconds ago I read a post about someone intending on creating a thread on how to silence the beeping when activating/ deactivating the alearm and now it is gone. Anyway, it states slearly how to silence the beeps in the manual. I am pretty sure on the '04 key FOB the instructions are on the back.

What's with all the "Wear your seatbelt, duh!" posts?

I have my chime disabled but I won't roll 100yards without putting on my seatbelt. The point to disabling the chime for some is to silence the annoying dinging when you're working on the car.

Is IWSTI becoming the new NASIOC?? Because it's certainly feeling that way lately.
