Default photo chopers

Can anybody photo chop of a dgm STI with body colored bbs rims? I just painted the silver part in my grill body color and thought about picking up a set of the bbs's and painting them body color too, but would like to see it before I do it and dont like it.

It will be questionable. Check the Exterior mods forum for the GD, I'm pretty sure there were a couple threads in there about painting wheels. It's definitely do-able. Most people recommend that you sand the wheels a bit (though not to the aluminum...just rough 'em up.) I'd highly recommend a few coats of clear too. As I said, check the Exterior mods forum.

The other option is powder coating, but there are debates as to whether that weakens forged wheels or not. Lots of people have done it and not had problems, but I don't know how many actually track on those wheels.

I think there is wheel-specific spray paint that you can buy that will hold up pretty good. You do have to prepare the wheel by sanding it a couple times w/diff grit sandpaper, but after that, it seems like it's just lightly spray paint the wheel w/a couple coats of the stuff and you're good to go. I saw a demo on YouTube... forgot the company name though.

What is your opinion of the WRB/Black BBS...do you guys think it looks super aggressive or am I just being ridiculous?

Personally, I think the dark grey/black looks better on the DGM. WRBs really suit silver and gold. Don't get me wrong, black can definitely work on WRB, but I'd be careful with how glossy you make them or they can look a bit iffy. Gunmetal works on WRB too.

Thats sweet!!! Thanks digitalfriend. If I get the fogs I would paint the silver trim around them dgm too. I need to get some pics up of my body coloerd grill insert.

Black with gold I havent seen yet, but think it sounds nice.

Silver with bronze rims

White with white rims

I had white gramlights 57c before, and I tell you what, those are hard as hell to keep clean... I never invested in low-dust brake pads, but I still think you'd end up cleaning them every few days or once a week at least.

I had white OZs on my 300ZXTT...they were a b**ch to keep clean. It was a good thing I was young and had free time to spend cleaning those bastards
