Maybe he really knew what your name was and was just implying that you are a digital friend of his.

if u lightly scuff/ sand and use Krylon with built in sealer spray cans, it actually holds up quite well.

Ha Ha is this going to turn into some kinda joke forum. You can go a lot of directions with mofo too.

I believe the factory paint on the stock rims is lacqure. If that is the case one should really strip off the old paint before refinishing. All I was going to do was sand them down in 600 grit paper and then seal, base coat dgm, then two coats of clear and keep them wet enough that the brake dust cant hang in the pitts and pours.

How much weight does it add to the wheels when you paint them? Is is significant??? I want to paint my (eventual) AutoX wheels flat-black with WRB lip...

I've never been a fan of black rims, anthracite/dark gray, that's a different story. Having said that, the WRB just looks perfect with gold. There is a guy in my building with a WRB with the silver BBS (dealer did rim swap) and it looks pretty sharp but I would have gone with the gold. If you're going to flashy with the color of the car, why hold back on the rims?

After seeing some WRB STis with black rims and not just the photoshop job above...I think I am going to stay gold.

I miss my blue gold 04 STI. I had a hard time deciding what other color rims to put on it, but in the end I left the gold on because its really the best combo.
