umm..i may have some pics, but i sold it...I started modding the hell out of it and then went to college (I went broke). The one I bought was from guy who needed to sell it to get a new tranny for his porsche...I got lucky he was desperate. right place right time...it happens. The problem with the TTZ is that people don't take care of them the way they do Supras...I'm sure you could find one for <$10k...it would just need some work.

Had Audis, 911's, M5 and M Coupe previously... but BMW and Porsche won't sell me a wagon, so Subaru gets my dough.

26, Single. I always want a fast 5-dr wagon, so 08 STI is the only choice.

Too bad there is no 335i wagon in North America, otherwise I will just stick with BMW (had a M3 and a 5-series before)

I know this is blasphemy but this is the STI design I wished Subaru would have come out with in the first place.

27, about to be married.....

I traded in my 05sti with 40k miles on it that was stage 2 with full suspension mods and was about to do a full built motor and turbo upgrade in it but after seeing a 08sti..... that changed. Loved the look so I ordered me a 08sti and returned my 05sti to stock.

So now I am currently off'ing all my parts that wont cross over and just ordered a cobb v2 which will be here tomorrow or tuesday. Mods right now is the short shifter w/bushings (Thanks Tic!!!) and will be ordering some rallyarmor's, catless downpipe, and a lebonte meth kit for now. I am going to be building my own cat-back exhaust and if funds allow.... a fmic.

21 with 25 years experience (46), oilfield mechanical designer. i needed a reliable, quick vehicle to drive when my bike was parked, i'm getting to old to drive a motorcycle in the winter (thats what "they" tell me). The STI was on the short list with the Evo X and the BMW M3.
-the utility is nice, lots of room for people and things
-all wheel drive is almost a necessity here in Calgary when we get the 35 degree temperature swings (chinooks -20C to +15C in 12 hours and vice versa). also helps when i need to trek to the "fields"
-i appreciate the stealth factor.
-the proven engine platform and mature after market scene.
-the ability to add reliable power to the base platform at a reasonable cost.

the 08 STi is well thought out and very well packaged.

20yrs young here

. I love everything about my 08.
I even considered buying a Evo9/07STi or any other 35-40k car for that matter, but I couldn't get myself away from the 08. My first/previous car was a RSX-S and I don't think I could ever go back to a 2dr coupe.

What attracted me to the 08: AWD, turbo, spacious 5dr, great utility, new and refreshing design, Subaru quality, low key, not a mitsu.

Im 24 and just graduated 3 days ago but my STI still hasnt come in.. I have an RSX Type S now and want something a little roomier, reliable, faster, I think this is the best looking STI yet, and good chance im moving up north soon so the AWD will come in handy..

Lead Programmer/Analyst, 31 going on 32 in June. I sold my '05 in June of last year because I was disgusted by how much I was modding it and spending doing lapping days. My wife and I are working on starting a family, so I figured I'd try to go 2-3 years with one car (since I mostly work from my home office) and save up a crap load of money. Anyhow, the last 8 months have been brutal with only one car, so I convinced my wife to look into another Subaru. The new STI has incredibly utility and known reliability (virtually the same tranny/engine as my '05, etc) so my wife agreed and I ordered one in January. Hopefully, the car will be arriving March 29th.

For me, I went back to the STI because of past experience, the new improved looks and awesome utility, as well as the improved safety (which was already incredible in '05.) Since my wife will be driving this car, more so than my '05, it was important for her to like it too. She loves the lighter clutch and "feel" of the hatch. We also have a Lab, so it will be great for toting him around too. I can't wait.

I guess I'm the old man of the thread, I'm 43. Married 4 kids, 1 married, 2 in college and 1 still at home. I had an 06 STI, but the 08 IMO is a much better car.
