32 here. Have wanted an STI ever since I bought a WRX in 03.

Always regretted not getting the wagon for the practicality, but don't care for the "wagon tacked onto the sedan" body style of the last gen (sorry).

Now that the impreza has been designed around the 5-door body style, which looks as good as any wagon/hatch can/will ever look, I couldn't be happier... at least until I pick up another 100 whp and get to the track!!

I'm a 40 year old "man-child".

I bought the car because it was an upgrade from my 02 WRX wagon but maintained the functionality of the wagon. As much as I loved my Bugeye REX, the quieter and more compliant ride is a big plus for my wife and I.

First post! Hi everybody.

20 with an Aspen White 08 STI.

Traded in my 350z I bought at 18 and have been in love with for two years but was getting old. Very problematic, 350zs.

31 married, no kids.

Bought it for the AWD performance, good looks and reliability. Love the laid back aggressive look of the 08 that's what sold me.

Utility is a bonus not a must cause my wifey drives a mazda 3 sport and I have a pickup truck.

Hatch does come in handy for snowboarding gear and luggin motorcycle parts around. All and all a unbeatable package! I predict this STI will have the best resale value especially if they do go back to the sedan style.

34. Traded in my 04 WRX. I was considering picking up a used 06/07 wagon, then I saw the STi and was sold. I have 1300+ miles on the clock and am loving it so far. My only regret is that I travel so much for work I don't get to drive it as much as I would like.

30, not married with serious girlfriend, bought mine since I said since 2nd year of undergrad school if Subaru ever brought over the STI I would buy one (it was one of my dream cars). When I was a junior I bought a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S which I loved and recently sold (it was either that or an Integra Type-R, try living in a Type-R as a DD!).

I should mention its a dream car because it offers a total performance package pretty much tops in its class.

I work full-time during the week at an FTZ Logistics center in central, PA, and wait tables on the weekends. Saving for a house with a serious girlfriend. Had to convince her to okay the STI, but it wasn't hard since she hated climbing into a lowered two seater all the time.

I get the crack-dealer thing all the time, but it's not like a majority of people buy cars outright. Get approved for the right interest rate, and put enough down and you can get anything you want!

blah blah blah...so you sell crack? j/k congrats man. They didn't have STi's when I was 20, but I was able to buy a 300ZXTT for $10K And I still have no idea what SuperHICAS was useful for!

39, married two boys, and ditto from above.
I had a 02 bug eye that I regret selling. Now that 08 STI is out my lust for turbo'ed four cylinders is back.

I'm waiting for the bottom of the car buying market to fall out and will hopefully pick one up in the next two to four months at less than invoice. I'm predicting more gimme's coming down the pike from Subaru to get people in the door. I can wait for the best deal.

Plus I'm going to the NYC auto show this week, and going to harass the SOA reps working the booths to see if there are any customer loyalty money to be had (currently wife has an Outback).
