Default Nav can't get signal, any ideas?

So as per the Nav/Bluetooth thread, yesterday I installed the subwoofer/bluetooth accessories successfully. I can receive/call with my iPhone as well as actually hear some bass!

However, I discovered this morning when I took it out again that the Nav has totally lost signal. I'm on the 6300 version firmware that came with the bluetooth kit.

The only real change was I grounded the gray wire on the small connector on the back of the nav unit to access the menu while driving. That works fine now but for some reason I can't get any satellite reception.

Any ideas? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the unit? Again, the gray wire on the small connector is grounded (male/female connector with it grounded to the unit, there is a metal plate on the side that can act as a ground which I used).

This really sucks....I had everything perfect until I discovered this...

Are you sure you put the map disc back in?

Also you could have easily knocked the plug for the gps antenna loose, I would take the navi back out and double check that. I think its a square green connector.

If all else fails are you sure that you grouded the wire shown in this photo? (and not the other grey wire?)

Yea that's it. I guess I have to check again and take the unit out. I didn't see another gray wire either on the small connector (we checked that it got a signal when the parking brake was released). But let's say I cut this wire, why would I get no signal but not be locked out? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Map disc back in? You mean in the DVD? Yea, I got street names I just have ZERO signal. I want to fix this and also warn folks if they plan to do this mod.

By the way, have you (and anyone reading this thread) done the mod successfully? (I just want to make sure)

Yes I have installed Sirius Module, Subwoofer (Kenwood SW-1 using factory harness), bluetooth mic, upgraded to version 6300, AND did the ebrake mod.

I have not experienced any problems, all of the navi screens are unlocked while driving, along with the DVD player, video in, and call settings.

I'm guessing you just knocked the gps antenna plug lose on the back of the navi. Pull it out and take another look.

Alright. I wanted someone to verify that. Its definitely the gray wire on the small white connector right?

What is the GPS antenna plug btw? Is that the white one?

Thanks headshokfatty and some others. It turned out that the green connector was indeed lose - no I'm golden, pilot error on my part. Jesus, I was freak'n out. All is good.

Now I can move on to cleaning the sucker...

Check the nav thread but I have an ISO if you have a place for me to upload it (my kit came with it)

You did plug the GPS antenna back in, right? It's the little connector that goes in the bottom corner of the head unit.
