I guess I'm the only person who likes the look of the stock exhaust tips.

Keep in mind that our usual tips are not rolled. Rather they are dual walled and resonated. I am not a fan of a simple rolled tip when we can avoid them.

Alone? Not too much. The ECU tends to try to work it's way around the TBE and get back to closer to stock power levels. Having a TBE without a proper ECU upgrade is like having a really good suspension on really crappy tires. You do not even come close to realizing the full potential of the parts you add.

GotSTI?
We don't offer them. Call Rally Sport Direct as they are a distributor for Prodrive if I recall corectly.

We do not do pre-orders. Now that we have everything figured out (except the outside tips discoloring more than the inside) we are starting production on the mufflers which are the part that takes the most time. So we are started, and we will get them done ASAP.

Subw00er
The only oval tips we could find were the rolled edge tips. That and again we were trying to reduce the cost vs making them full dual walled tips.

Sorry yes, I meant with a Cobb tune! What's the expected gain? etc.

Any chance you can give us a ballpark on when pricing and availability information will be public?

Cobb, thanks. I'm sorry this is my fault, what I'm asking is if I do a stage 1 tune (intake, everything else stock) versus Cobb Exhaust stage 1 tune, how much does the TBE add to produced power? 5hp, 10hp, etc. Clearly a less restrictive pipe will net me some power (I realize that it may not be that much during stage 1 tunes but really help during a full stage 2 kit, etc.).

Also, pricing and availability....etc.

We are getting a few other's feedback, but on our trip to/from SLC-Buttonwillow it was more that tolerable. We will have to make another video to give you guys a better idea.
Any video update to these changes previously noted?

They said on their forums they were working on the tips. They are trying to either get them to discolor evenly between the inside and outside tips or keep them from discoloring all together.

Cobb definitely needs better looking tips! There is no point to upgrade for sound only. The stock looking is weak and lack of character.

Price will not be a big problem.
Cobb TBE or CBE will have a inherent price advantage as Cobb stage 2 maps are already included in the AP free of charge. We don't have to get a pro-tune after the Cobb TBE upgrade, that is a big saving for people only interested in going stage 2 for now.

Most of us are still waiting for more after-market parts for MY08 Sti , If we get a pro-tune now, we have to get it re-tuned when we decide to add more mods later when more parts are available.

Unless other venders also provide their stage 2 maps with their TBE free of charge, Cobb TBE seems to be the logical choice for the moment.
