Wink 77 year-old man buys new STi: "thinks the ride is smooth and comfortable"

Okay so he sounds like a real enthusiast and just happens to be old, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of this with all the comments on Subaru "going soft" with the new cars.

World's Oldest Known STI Owner

PS: I still haven't had a chance to drive one myself, the local dealer where I get service done says you basically have to start the paperwork on buying it just to get a test drive. They want to keep the miles down on the ones they have. I'm sure if I really wanted I could get a test drive somewhere else. I checked out the car in person more though the other day and it seems like it would look a lot better with the sport grill. Sorry to hear about the rock chipping crap though, hopefully Subaru addresses it.

sweet, the old man is young at heart!! my hats off to him!

i didn't get to test drive my 08 sti before i bought it. the dealer didn't want anyone thrashing the cars which i totally respect. i was happy to get my car with only 2 miles on the odo. needless to say, im loving my sti!

That black one inside is actually a WRX... The rims and sidemarkers make it evident. ^.^

Subaru should've made a lower priced "Base" version using 17" BBS wheels!! I think they look really nice on these new 08 STi's ^.^

Its awesome to see the older crowd taking a liking in a machine such as the STi.

There's an older guy, late 50's/early 60's around here who drives an '04 WRB STi. I see him every so often, he even rocks winter tires and ASA wheels like a proper enthusiast. I did see an older woman, in her 70's driving an STi one time as well.
