Default Oh the pain!

Damn, not even two month old and one of rims (standard) got dinged. Look likes curb rash but for the life of me can't figure out when it happened. I've been careful but somewhere I caught the edge of the rim. I wonder if there is anyone in Portland who could clean it up.

I can't figure out how you manage to not scrape the hell out of the front bumpers in LA? It seems every entrance to a gas station or a store has a dip to specifically filter out low cars.

Yeah, I scraped mine a little bit too few months back on a curb near the mall...stupid curb came out of nowhere!

at least you didnt take out ur whole bumper.... a friend of mine parked at a space with a little curb in the front and he forgot that its there and drove forward when he tried to pull out of the parking lot... the bumper just broke and came off.

I know how you feel. I was going to pull into a parking spot on the side of the street when this biker came out of nowhere and I had to swerve towards the curb to avoid him. SSSCCCRRRAAAPPPEE, ouch. Not noticable really, but will cost to fix properly. Sigh, I guess these are now my winter rims.

Was it the rear wheel? On day TWO of owning my car I was leaving a parking space with belgian block lining it and scraped the rear wheel turning out of it - the new longer wheel base is definitely noticeable.

I thought it was 6 inches shorter, or is that overall length?

The first time always sucks. My BBS are torn to isht from the winter so I dont really care anymore.

What I did learn after switching from snow tires back to summer tires is my turn in is a lot sharper and I have to be careful because I almost curbed one of my summer tires the other day. Im just not used to the grip and turn in yet.

The wheelbase is longer, the car is shorter. Compared to my 02 wagon the distance from the driver to the rear wheel is a lot longer so I can't cut corners as sharp as I could in the old car.

Alright, thank you for clarifying. I knew I read 6 inches shorter, I just didn't know in which department.
