Default replace high beam bulbs?

okay, this might be a silly question but ... bear with me for a minute

i'm not exactly happy with how the normal headlights are aligned.
and i'm not sure if adjusting them higher will help (but i will try this tomorrow)

so, my question;

is it possible to replace the high beam bulbs with a different type that allows you to drive with the high beams on, without blinding opposite traffic?

i'd like to get better visibility, especially light up the road further in front of the car. i can barely read traffic signs with the normal headlights at night.

just aim the headlamps up, and you will love your HID. The stock aim is wayyy to low, and about 10 rotations with a screwdriver should do it.

You cannot run highbeams without blinding everyone.

that's why i wanted to know if i could change those bulbs with "non high beam" bulbs. and basically run dual headlight bulbs. effectively loosing my high beams.

There's no such thing as a "high beam bulb." It is the design of the reflector which points the beam higher(if that made any sense).

Done, and Done. 9011 fits very easily with a file. output is mucho better than 9005.

How will changing the bulb make the high beams like the low beams, which is what the OP wants to do. The problem is the way the reflector is designed aiming the beam of the light higher.

I've done a search but can't seem to get a concensus on what replacement bulb is the best color matched for the low beam. Sorry if this hijacks the thread.

Generally for high beams, you want something that is lower in the color scale (< 4300K). If you are looking to match, the color temperature you will want is 4300k.

If I remember correctly, high beams cannot be aimed. Then again, I've never attempted to aim them as they are that way for a reason.
