Default STi won't pull on a Honda Accord?

Huh?

The new accord has an identical trap speed as the STi in the 1/4 mile...makes you wonder...with a car that looks as sweet as the STi, it needs to walk away from any accord without any mods...

You know these new coupes do look nice, but I don't want another FWD car.

I think it's funny how the Accord is faster than a Honda S2000...I used to have an S2000 and it's a shame that Honda upgrades the Accord with more joice, but it's halo sports car only get's lame club racer packages that actually make the car slower.

how come the 08 sti has such a low trap speed?
The 1/4 mile time of sti is like 1 whole second faster than 08 accord coupe.

Too much wheel spin for accord ?
Weak top end in Sti?

Where are you getting your info from?

I googled Accord 1/4 mile times and I got 14.60 @ 100.90.

An STI does low mid 13s at like 103.

If you take a FWD car and a AWD car with identical trap speeds...the AWD car will pull from a roll.

I think this thread is a waste of time.

The STi's have always had a low trap speed because we are set up for low-end torque. This is why the STi has such a low 0-60 time. Oh yeah, last time I checked, the STi wasn't made to live life 1/4 mile at a time...

So is it just rwd with similiar traps that pull on awd from a roll?
What about drivetrain loss?
