Default I Want It So Bad... But

My concern is the internals....I want to put full cossie internals in it. but not sure if its possible. I will keep the stock turbo for a while, But in future, do you think there will be aftermarket to have 500whp reliably like 2007 sti's and others did with changing internals?. Or is this gonna be the dull model outta the bunch? Thanks.

i think you will be just fine. but why change the internals with a stock turbo?? thats a little over kill IMO. I would understand if you acutally went big turbo on it, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to waste all that money.
good luck with whatever you do decide

The bottom end of the motor is the same as the older model sti's.
i think he wants to build the motor first and then throw a bigger turbo on it.

the '08 has the same internals. but if you're going to build it anyway, it shouldn't even matter what it comes with stock, right ?

I think what he means is, will the aftermarkets blocks and internals for the 08 be as "reliable" as the ones for the outgoing year. I wouldn't call those custom builds reliable, but I get your point. I think the answer is most likely yes. I haven't read any of the big names say they will drop the sti from their product line. If anything the new "hot hatch bro!" look has gotten them more excited.
