WRB STi'08 - not a popular color?

Looks like nobody likes WRB STi. On previous generations of STi, WR blue was one of the most popular color. On '08 seems like everybody orders DGM or white. I went to a dealership, placed an order for DGM like everybody :-) But next day came back and was eyeballing WRB, and liked it very much.

If one can really say this soon that WRB isn't a popular color choice based off the few numbers we see on the forums, then it may be due to the fact that the new STI is being purchased by this new demographic of Subaru owners.

Personally, I like the WRB STI now more than ever and would be torn between white and WRB if forced to pick a color today.

It does seem like DGM is the new "preferred" color for 08 STIs (with AW close behind). I would argue that WRB seemed to be the preferred color for 04-07 models. As a current 08 WRB STI owner, I'm really happy about this. When I had a WRB 04 STI, I felt like every other STI I would see was WRB. Now maybe it'll be different...

I would have picked a WRB over the white but my wife nixed it. Supposed to be my car but since she helps pay the bills she had some say too. Now on top of that now she's driving it more than I am...

As I said - at first I placed an order for DGM, but after a painful week and multiple talks to my friends and mostly to my wife, who really loves WRB with gold wheels :-) I went back to dealership and changed my order to WRB ;-)

Yes, DGM looks a bit more "serious", but WRB is... shiny and really nice looking in person!

Actually, I noticed, that DGM looks very well on pictures, much better then in person, while WRB on pictures looks kind of dull and uninteresting. But in person WRB looks way better then on pictures. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's because my current wrx is black, and I'm too used now to dark colors (real pain to keep it clean), so, I decided that I want something different...

Couldn't agree with Kevins words more. The White and Blue with the Gold is just insanely gorgeous.

If I had to choose it'd be tough . . .

I agree with the new demographic preferring the more "subtle" or "corporate" color of DGM...

WRB + Gold to me is a color that really grabs the essence of Subaru's rally heritage, and I think would be an excellent choice for enthusiasts that take pride in this notion. Definitely agree that the color looks waaay better in person as well.

AW and Gold wheels or the WRB with Gold on the 08 would be my choice. I have to admit, even though I have a WRB 05, I REALLY like the AW on the 08's

its a really nice color but I am a bit worried about chips and stuff. There was only WRB at the dealer I went to, I was ok with it. As long as it wasn't red or black. Black is a nice color but it's just not for me.

I was torn between DGM and WRB. Got a better deal on the WRB though and I love the color now! Reallly easy to pick out in a parking lot, hehe.

Same for me, i was torn between DGM and WRB, so in the end the wife made the decision. thats 2 WRB/golds she has got me to buy

Speaking to one of the biggest dealers in the UK yesterday he said the same, WRB is the least requested, the white is most popular and Black next.
