Here is a direct link to the site I bought it from. They are really nice gauges, I recommend them to everyone. Single DIN Defi Gauge pack with a lil STi logo in the corner, pretty damn nice. Dont want to sound like a salesman or somthing, but if you are looking for gauges you can put in a single DIN spot, these are SOOOO much better then the ones that are offered with the WRX/STi as options.

Did you get a new STI? Let us know how the install goes, and take pics! I'm interested to see how it turns out. Thanks.

It's new to me! :P . I have a 2005 STi. This should work with pretty much any turbo Subaru. Basically, the pod in single DIN, and the screw holes are the same as a deck. They are electronic gauges, and they come with 3 sensors, oil pressure, oil temp, and boost. The oil pressure and temp are mounted in a sandwich adapter that goes on above your oil filter. The gauges come with a plug in harness for power so you dont have to splice, its basically an extension of the factory Subaru radio harness, with a little plug for the back of the gauge pack as well.

Thanks for the info. Can you snap some better pics? Does it come with the sandwich adapter? How does the boost connect?

Sure, I'll take some more pics for you guys later on tonight or tomorrow (its all sitting in a box right now, I had it on my old RSTi for about 1 year). This pack comes with EVERYTHING needed to install, and you dont even need to splice a single wire. Comes with all of the hoses, wiring, sensors, sandwich adapter, EVERYTHING. It's really straight forward, and comes with instructions too. The most difficult part of the install is routing the wiring from the sensors into the cabin, which really isnt that difficult in the first place. Seriously guys, if you want some nice, clean, accurate Defi gauges that can fit in a single DIN spot, this is what you want.

subscribed for these updates, very interesting possibility, even tho the faces are white, not red.
With the sandwich adaptor, will the oil filter need to change to a smaller one?

If you are using the small black STi oil filters you should be fine. It will sit a bit lower, but nothing major. The gauges are great. Like I said, I will post more pics this weekend.

Awesome. I have a few questions.

Does it look like you could take it apart easily to change the white LED/Bulb to red? I was thinking of just wrapping the bulb in red tape or vinyl, but if its all molded together, that would be difficult. The goal of course would be to match the 08 STI dash better.

Are there really Defi-branded gauges in there? Are they stock 52mm size? I was thinking of doing EGT instead of oil pressure, so I'm wondering if I could swap a standard 52mm gauge in there. It looks smaller than 52mm to me, but its hard to tell.

Last question, the website makes it look like a SPT part - is that right? That would be another good reason to get it - I like the idea of having Subaru branded parts on my car - then there is absolutely no worry of warranty issues.

Thanks again for the info/pics.

You probably could take it apart if you really wanted to, but I wouldnt. The gauges are made by Defi, although the gauge faces do not say it. The top of the boost sensor says Defi nice and clear. These are Subaru parts, as they have a part number. No warranty issues .

All of the above, and a step by step writeup. It could become a Sticky for DIN gauge install, which could be a popular route on 08's

Haha, alright, I will try my best . The gauges are going back in somtime next week hopefully, I will try to get some shots during the process. The instruction manual they come with is very simple but describes the process very well. As I said, the hardest park of the entire process is fishing with wiring from the sandwich adapter, back to the fire wall, accross to the driver side, and into the cabin. I dont know how many changes Subaru made on the 08, so the process for you guys maybe a bit different.

Anyways, here are some more shots of the parts included, remember, everything is plug and play, no splicing at all. It's really funny how easy this is to do.

Here are a few more pics (notice that the gauges actually do point to the left a bit, so they are ment for LHD cars). I will see if I can find the instruction manual anywhere, I got the gauges so long ago I dont remember where I put the box. If I do find it I will scan and upload the instructions ASAP.

Ok guys, have a scan of the intruction manual for you. Remember this kit is for a 05+ Leggy turbo, so it comes with faceplate and brackets to install it in the Leggy cubby hole, you wont be needing/using them. Here it is in PDF format. As you can see the whole process is pretty straight forward.
