Default Whats the latest one can place an order for an 08?

I was looking to place an order for 08 STI, probably sometime in the June to August time frame.

Is that too late? Should I just be looking for an 09 at the point?
I am concerned, if I go for an 09, I won't be able to get invoice pricing until the 09 spring time frame and the may not take orders with the VIP purchase program until later as well.

Also, wasn't sure what to do with my legacy. I have a lot of high quality parts on there (BBK, KW coilovers, cusco bracing,2.5R Dominator).
Should I return it to stock? or just a partial detune. e.g. I don't want to pay for a back to lgt manifold &tgv swap(still have lgt manifold). Though I may be able get $$ by taking it backing down to a vf39 turbo.

btw: I have a Black 05 GT Limited with a 2.5R Dominator.
excellent condition, only currently 21K miles that I will be looking to move with the next couple months.

typically dealers dont care about upgrade parts - in fact, it may hurt your resale. I'd try and sel it as is personally, or just remove the parts and trade the car in for the tax savings. Then list your parts on ebay for $1 and see what happens.

I dont know about the 08- 09 stuff. My guess is that because people are getting the car at (or $500 below in my case) now, then I dont see why it would be different for the '09 - you just have to find the right dealer.

I don't think you have to worry about paying more than invoice for the 09, I paid $500 over invoice less than 6 weeks from launch. Either way you're set, hang around and see if any '08s are on the lots you want, that way, you can go below invoice since the dealer will be itching to get it off his lot. Otherwise, you can order an '09 and who knows what improvements are in store for the '09.

I was told September is when we'll starting seeing the '09s, at least in Canada.

That probably means the 09 will arrive at least a month sooner in the US?
