Default Traded in the '05

Well I did it. Traded in the WRB/Gold for a DGM '08 with the stock STi wheels. I've had the car for only a few hours but man, it's awesome. Sorta like combining my old '96 SVX LSi and the 05 STi into one bad ass, nice riding car. I really love driving this thing. Sucks having to stay under 4000 for the first grand but I can do it. "I" mode should be called "Granny". Man it de-tunes the hell outta the car. Good for mileage though I guess. "Sport #" with the DCCD in "Auto -" rocks hard. Great drive in that mode. Still messing around with the ADC in "Traction Only Mode". Gotta get a feel for these new modes and goodies. Overall my impression is I love the thing. Not as hard and manly as the '05 but definitely is an STi.

Congrats, and welcome to the DGM team. I've had cars with more power, but they were not as fun to drive as this car is. I'm also still breaking mine in so the 4k thing is killing me, too, especially since the stage 1 AccessPort reflash.

You know, the odd thing is, it's the ass view that's my fav. Just like it was with the '05 (and the '96 SVX LSi). The thing sits so nice on the ground with the wider track and all. I can't wait till RallyArmor gets the damn mud flaps done for the '08. Gotta have me some Urethane mudflaps hell yeah.

Congrats on the purchase! DGM is an awesome color!

My favorite view is looking down on the car from the front... It really reminds me of the ol' 22B

You know, you're right! I never realized it but from that angle it does look like the 22B. Damn. Maybe the designers really do look to the old to design the new. If any of you guys that aren't sure about the '08 model are reading this thread, go see the '08 car in person. Pictures just don't do it the justice it deserves. It is one beautiful car.

That is so true... At first I was hating the design big time, but I drive past the local dealership on my drive to/from work everyday and for the past few days I've stopped in, sat in the car, checked it out, etc.

I'm planning to trade-in the AW 05 for a new 08, I'm just not sure which color to go with... Stay AW or try out the new red!

20,000 for my trade. They had my DGM sitting up on the stand when I saw it for the first time. Couldn't believe how pretty it was. Asked how many miles were on it. 15. Had 'em take it down. Drove it. Bought it. Glad I did. Haven't seen the red yet. I love red cars. My '96 SVX LSi was red.

Just curious how many miles were on your 05 to get 20k? Mine has just passed 23,xxx, trying to see what I could get.
