As for the STI, I am still trying to get used to the way the car behaves. It's a very solid car, and drives very nice I am still breaking in the car so haven't had a chance to really open her up. But in all honsety, I think my IS250 interior is a bit nicer than the sti. I know both cars are not in the same category.
Yes the IS is a sexy car. I love the look of it inside and out. It does have a gorgeous interior and blows the STI's away. At my age Lexus is to quiet and I want a more performance oriented car. I thought that I was ready to buy a Lexus but I guess I miss having a manual and a drivers car.

How much did you get for the trade in?

I feel you man. I thought the same too, but coming from someone that had experience in several of turbo cars from the past.

The dealer gave me $26.5K for it with 26K miles on the car. Best way to do is to take it to carmax have them appraise it first and use that toward the trade in at the dealer.

$26.5k is not that bad considering your miles. Did you have an 06 or 07?

I will try to sell it privately first. I have a 2007 and just hit 7000 miles.

I actually went to Carmax the other day but they wanted me to wait 1.5 hours so I just left.

ahh...ok I remember seeing your post on CL. Yeah, I will go there and post about it.

I paid $200 below invoice for the sti. Pretty much shopped everywhere in So. Cal for the deal. But at the rate they are selling these cars I am sure lots of dealers are doing whatever they can to move them.

P.S. Nice IS, that has always been the popular color on the 2IS

Nice ride HRCBoy. I love the way those R6 run at the tracks. I recently sold my 2005 ZX10R that I also used for mostly track days.
