Default General STI question

Does the STI have a stronger clutch than the wrx? AKA is the clutch in my future 08 going to be stronger than the one in my current 06 wrx?

As far as I know, yes. STI clutches are stronger than WRX clutches.

I'd have to agree, but admitting, I'm not 100% sure. It would make sense that the higher performance version can take more abuse, aka, a stronger clutch. I'm sure someone here will peep up with evidence...
The best way to make a clutch last thou, is in early rpm clutch releases (under 1500rpm) and making sure you have the clutch fully released before giving throttle when shifting through the gears. Good rev-matching down shifting does not hurt either!

Yea I know, but even being nice to my wrx clutch with only a vf-34 I can feel it slowly wearing away. I make crazy torque down low.

I can say the clutch "Feel" is lighter than my 05 LGT.

even my wife noticed it rite away/

As for strength... Im sure its a beast to be matched up with such a great 6MT!
