Default 08 WRX STI Loose Fog lights?

Hello,

last night I drove my new 08 wrx sti BBS/NAV from a friends house and noticed for the first time my fog lights shaking while driving on uneven pavement. when I got home, I checked to see if my bumper was loose but it turned out to be my fog lights. It looks to be the fog light housing, It has a lot of wiggle room, left to right.

Anyone else have this problem or know where to check to fix this problem?

The foglight housing is held in place by 2 pins and 1 screw. You probably need to tighten that screw. you'll need to pull the front covers off so you can see what your doing, but you will actually need to access the screw from below the foglight.

You'll need to pull one or two clips out so you can peal back the cover and get your hand and a screwdriver up under the cover. The screw is in the top inside hand corner of each foglight.

If you have trouble, I can scan the foglight installation instructions and post them for you.

Edvig,

can you scan the foglight installation instructions? I tried pulling the covers off but it won't give. Thanks. I owe you.

Here you go. You don't have to remove the bumper, you can pull the 2 tabs on each side that I've called out on Step 8. You should be able to pull down the cover and get your hand in there to check the screw. The screw is labeled "5" in step 11.

I hope this helps.
