08 Sti Short Shifter

Is there an option. Saleman at the dealer said yes but cant find one for the US Subaru or SPT site. Found one on Japanparts but would rather have it installed when I possilby buy an 08.

part number from subaru.co.uk is c1010fg600 if thats any help!

Yes there is and I pre-ordered on my STi (delivered 2/20). However, it never shipped on the car and according to letter from SOA from Dealer they aren't even being made yet. As soon as they are they are supposed to ship and install on my car. Fog lamp kit also didnt come on car as ordered, but they got those parts at the dealer and installed.

honestly save your money and buy an aftermarket one. be it ours or a competitors unit. the Subaru option is only a 10% reduction in throw. and runs ~400 bucks or so.

Tom is right. Go with the Kartboy.

I was told that you actually have to unbolt the transmission on the 08s in order to get the short throw shifter in. IMO it's not worth the trouble for a 10% reduction in throw.

If its similar to my current short throw in the 2005 Sti. I would stick with it. So I may have to wait for this to be released an try it out. Thanks for all the feedback!

I'm happy with the COBB and I'm pretty anal about this stuff.
