Default Well 08 Sti Here I Come

found a deal for invoice on a black base STI in UTAH!!!!!!

sweet...

i will be buying this car without a test drive or seing it in person as i am in iraq right now. i hope im not making a rash choice here. lol i was going to wait for a evo but honestly i cant stand mitsu as a company their cars are just cheap to me.. while the STI is no luxury car i feel it will be pretty solid and reliable.

im looking to get out of my Jeep comander and into this STI .. AWD and TURBO sounds good to me.. i have always love the exhaust note on that motor.

i plan to mod it it pretty well starting with suspension and these 19x8.5 racing harts with 45mm offset

so owners of this car.. please tell me im making a good choice and that this car is worth every penny...

Are you sure those wheels will fit the STi? Brake clearance, etc...

+45 offset will make the fronts stick out enough to make the flying debris issue even worse. Your rear fender flares will get even more rock chips. I have +52 offset volks and I already have 1 rock chip located about 4 inches below the rear door handle. Rrrrrr.. Mudflaps FTW, I guess.

Mine are 18 x 8.5 +52, stock is +55
I am competing in SCCA auto-x.
Have to play by the rules on the offset change.

Seems like ordering the STi from outside the state is a viable option. If needed a STi in Hawaii, where would one be looking for a reputable dealer on the mainland? Also, do I need to pay tax if it is an out-of-state sale?

+1 on the rims!
