Default SUB Install / Video FIX / Iphone mount

I had the KENWOOD KSC-SW10 7" POWERED 150 WATT SUBWOOFER installed, under the passenger seat. The Sub fit perfectly without any modifications to the car It also has HighZ inputs so it was as simple as tapping the factory harness, and running the power through the firewall...

I had them run the remote for the sub from the bottom up into the Center console, and while they were at it, I had them run the Apple Comp. AV Cable, down from the Console and up into the front cup holder... for the Iphone!

I also had them ground the "GREY WIRE" So now im in motion!!!

Even with Video from the Iphone!!!

The Sub was just what was needed... Filling the bottom end nicely.

If what you think of as a good car stereo is people hearing you from down the block, warning, this sub is not for you... Its dosn't hit like an Infinity Basslink, but to me its perfect! I have it turned up only half way and its plenty.

PICS Flickr: Photos from Hurricanedj

You can see the sub sticking out if the Seat is all the way to the front like in the pic... but with the seat back its hidden...

Enjoy

Sweet! I have a similar setup with the older style SW1 that I had in my old WRX.
I agree it fills out the sound nicely and is good enough for my needs, but is still no where near the quality of the stock stereo in my brothers G35x that system is crystal clear AND it pounds!
I also have the video out into my phone, works quite well and the quality is surprisingly good!
Now if we could just get the bluetooth kits from SOA, we'd be all set!

Yeah, it will be cool, when we get the Mic.. Altho, my BT Headset works great// and it sits nicely with my sunglass in the cubby!

Whats cool, is while Iphone is playing and a call comes in, it lowers volume and rings through the NAV.. I pick up headset, it button and talk, when finished, hit button, and the music comes back on Same if I press BT Button and make a call... \

I feel so connected to this car...lol

Now, if we could get a hack for the guages on the nav! boost, oil, temp!!!

I want to get an entire system eventually, but I may need to just do this for the time being to get some extra lower end fill on these extremely crappy speakers we have. Looks good. Congrats!

Hey could you post a link to the cable you have for your Iphone? or a model number? I searched for the Apple Comp. AV Cable and they all look different than your picture.

The Apple Store (U.S.) - Apple Composite AV Cable

The "USB car Charger" was seperate...
the USB end of the cable plugs into it/ to charge Iphone while plugged in.
