rear light clusters...

are there any aftermrket ones avavilable yet as I really dont like the crystal look of the standard ones.

You could always paint them, or get some overlays. I have never seen any aftermarket ones....

is it possible to open up the rear lights to paint them? I'd prefer that over the overlays, and cutting them would suck.

You could be the first to do it to an 08. If its possible on the other years, it should be possible on the 08's as well.
