had the front part of the hood and rear doors + rear fender flares done for $400. i am in the philly area and had it done at Dougherty Auto in West Chester, PA. they are great with the go-fast parts. they have been working with Porsches for many years, and they have some mechanics that tweak Subies too. i am very happy with the 3M overlays that they did.

Just had a few questions, that's all. I like what I see so far, just wondering how it will look in a couple of years.....
I've already taken a few hits in the lower portion of the front bumper that would have resulted in chips. Instead you can just brush the dirt off. The film is pretty tough but let's face it, if you get hit hard enough, the film likely take a bit of damage. The nice thing is that after a couple years, if and when it is chewed up, just have it removed and a new one applied. Your paint will still likely be in great shape.

If you park the car in a garage most of the time, I really don't see the paint fading at vastly different rates.

Also, with the paint chipping issues Subaru has already with the 08 body style (it is still in debate if it is faulty paint, or the way the debris flows down the body while driving hitting in front of the rear wheels constantly?).....
I had the film on my '01 Honda S2000 from '02 until I sold it this past January. I kept a good coat of wax on my car and had no uneven fading issues with the paint (this is in FL with no garage). I don't think it will be an issue. After nearly 6 years, the film was just starting to yellow/fog. Not so anyone else could notice, but I did (she was my baby afterall).

I keep hearing about the paint shipping problems, but I have yet to see anything on mine. I have close to 4k miles on her too. Is it just an issue with certain colors and not the WRBP I wonder?

Thanks fellas,
That's good to hear. I had a 2008 WRX that I just traded in on the 08 STi. It was getting pretty chipped up and only had 1800 miles on it. I went to the dealer and complained about it so bad that they gave me every dollar I paid for the WRX plus 2k, and then took another 3k off the price of the STi. So basically they paid me a grand a month to drive the WRX and gave me a sweet deal on the STi. I just couldn't pass it up. The WRX still had the dealer plates on it when I traded it.
Looks like I need to get some sort of clear bra now.
