Germany favors reorganization under bankruptcy alothough the codes may be differnt most countries are now in favor of the reorganization rather then liquidating all the assests and moving on.

1. the reason for the worse delivery time are the recaros...fuji heavy haven´t ordered enough seats, and the production capacities of recaro are limited
2. correct, BBS have had problems, but these problems are solved

it seems that every year someone posts an article about BBS going bankrupt, but they never do.

ps: did anyone notice the date on the article linked in the first post ?

Yes, I did notice that. I was just relaying the information. The strange part is that my dealership seemed to confirm that there was indeed an issue but that my order wouldn't be affected. I'm starting to wonder if this isn't related to bankruptcy but another issue with BBS.

I wonder if a dealership would seperate the GPS and BBS package to allow someone to just get the Nav options and not the BBS wheels

i'm pretty sure that everything is possible. you should be able to order every part separately using it's part number. if that's going to work out cheaper than going for the "optional deal" is another question.

I've updated the thread title to reflect that this is obviously still just a rumour with some vague proof.

Revenues for the year 2005 stood at 189.8 million euros. BBS Group employs around 1,200 people.

Serious liquidity problems

I talked to my dealership today and got the real story. Apparently BBS is either (a) having trouble keeping up with the demand or (b) just won't make enough wheels for Subaru. This means production on the BBS trim STIs has been limited. There were a few more specifics but nothing gloom-and-doom like what was original thought.

Maybe if they didn't make their wheels so heavy they'd save a few bucks on all that aluminum they wasted!
