Anyone receive their 2008 STI preorder IPOD Touch yet?

I got a note from the USPS saying Ive got a letter, but no other information. Any ideas?

Not yet...I called Subaru for an update, and they told me it should arrive 6-8 weeks after the date of purchase.

That's a good question.

Last I heard from SOA, the end of January, the first round of IPODs were "shipping in February". Being as I took delivery Dec 17th, more than 8 weeks has passed.

SOA is closed already... will try again tomorrow.

I received the same reply yesterday about the 8 week window after purchase. The SOA contact was to talk to the marketing folks and confirm the delivery timeline with me and reply again.

FYI. My purchase date was 12/31/07.

Not yet. Delivery on 2/11 and the sales folks also said 6 to 8 weeks from delivery. I take that to mean 6 - 8 weeks from the time SOA knows that I took delivery.

I wonder how much these things are going to go for on ebay. I'll be keeping mine because my current ipod video is about to die, but if someone offered me some stupid amount maybe I'd sell it and buy a 32gb.

Finally got a hold of SOA...

I'm told I am 186 on the list for the iPod promotion. I find this ironic, as I pre-ordered the morning 08 STI per-orders began (officially) and I took delivery on the 17th of Dec.

I'll post more when I hear back from SOA.

Sounds like they don't know when the iPods will ship. Rep said end of March, maybe first-second week of April...

Can you PM me the number? Last time I called they said anyone who ordered by the end of January should receive them by the end of February. Seeing as I got mine 08 on 1/31 Id like to see where Im at on the list.

Im starting to feel like this promotion was a hoax and they need to step up to the plate for this one.

I bought mine on Feb. 11 and the email response I got was to contact them again if I had not received it by the end of March.

Of course, so long as you can find someone willing to sell theirs.

SOA is probably waiting to submit the order to Apple for the actual quantity, waiting until all preorders are either filled and complete, or declined and cancelled.
That way they will know exactly how many to purchase and ship instead of potentially not having enough units and too many pissed off customers, or having too many units with thousands of dollars of promotional inventory to get rid of.

I took delivery on the evening of Feb 7th (their computers show Feb 8th). I was also told 6-8ish weeks, so that puts it at the first week of April at the latest. We'll see. I'm using my GF's ipod in the meantime...
