Default I guess the Dealer really doesn't check the tire pressure

I decided to check the tire pressure. I should have done it earlier but I forgot. This is what the car had:

DF-42.0
PF-41.5
DR-43.0
PR-42.5

The placard on the driver's side door jam states.....Front 33.......rear......32

Nice PDI inspection!

Mine had similar tire pressures.. yeah, nice PDI. I could feel it driving home from the dealer, tires were banging over every bump.

Cold tires or driven before measurement?

my 06 has the same thing it was 40-41 all the way around and i think they just fill up the tires without looking as part of their their "PDI"

Cool Re: I guess the Dealer really doesn't check the tire pressure

Mine came the same way at a smidge over 40psi (cold) all the way around. I could tell immediately and checked/set them all after the car settled in the garage over night. 40psi is normal for high-profile passenger car or SUV tires, so the PDI tech either left them as set when it came off the truck or set them to what he normally would for any Subaru.
The only other thing I've had to adjust is the low beam height. Another thread on this board says that others have the same issue. I set them a little high and run the in-car adjuster at setting at 1 most times, but I can run it up when I need to. This isn't something they would look at in PDI.

I checked them in the morning after the car sat all night in the garage. I backed it out into the driveway and took the measurments. The TPM light did come on after I let the pressure out of the tires. The minute I moved the car, it shut off.

Does the new STI TPMS tell you which specific tire is low?

They over inflate the tires when they put the car on the boat to avoid flat-spotting. 99% of the dealers don't ever let the excess pressure out or even check the pressure so they're almost always way too high when you buy a new car.

Mine were ~44 hot when I got home.. and it's cold outside. If it was warmer, they would've been even higher.
